Deutschsprachiger progressiver Rock aus dem Saarland. Es gab schon mehrere Neuausgaben des Werks von 1974, doch leider nicht alle legal.

The Saarland group Gäa played German-language progressive rock. There were several re-issues of the album – LPs as well as CDs -, but unfortunately not all of them legitimate releases.

Gäa aus dem Saarland spielten deutschsprachigen progressiven Rock. Ihren Namen entlehnten sie der altgriechischen Götterwelt, wo Gaia (lateinische Schreibweise Gäa) die Göttin der Erde und der Fruchtbarkeit ist. Die einzige LP der Gruppe, “Auf der Bahn zum Uranus”, erschien 1974 in Kleinauflage auf dem Kerston-Label und wird heute mit etwa 600 € gehandelt. Es ist ein ausgereiftes und ausgewogenes Werk, dessen künstlerischer Wert erst spät erkannt wurde. Die geschmackvolle Hülle wurde von Eduard Bell gestaltet, Bruder des Gäa-Bassisten Peter Bell. Es gab mehrere Neuausgaben der Platte, sowohl als LP als auch als CD, doch leider nicht immer rechtmäßig veröffentlicht. Die CD auf Garden of Delights wurde in Zusammenarbeit mit den Künstlern erstellt und erscheint im Original-Cover.

The Saarland group Gäa played German-language progressive rock. Their band name derives from the ancient Greek gods, where Gaia (Latin notation: Gäa) is the goddess of the earth and fertility. The group’s only LP, “Auf der Bahn zum Uranus”, was a short run released on the Kerston label in 1974 and is today sold at about € 600. It is a mature and well-balanced album, the artistic value of which long remained undiscovered. The tasteful cover was designed by Eduard Bell, the brother of Gäa bassist Peter Bell. There were several re-issues of the album – LPs as well as CDs -, but unfortunately not all of them legitimate releases. The CD on Garden of Delights was released in co-operation with the artists and has the original cover artwork.
