Eine Düsseldorfer Zweimanngruppe nur mit Schlagzeug und Tasten. Klingt dafür dank Synthesizer erstaunlich dicht und stimmungsvoll. Gut gemacht und empfehlenswert. Die LP und Single sind fast unmöglich zu finden.

A duo with keyboards and drums, from Dusseldorf. The sound is astonishingly dense and atmospheric thanks to the synthesizer they used. Well-done and highly recommended. LP and single are almost impossible to find.

Twogether aus Düsseldorf hatten eine wechselvolle Geschichte hinter sich. Zu Beginn der siebziger Jahre taten sich die besten Leute der Beathovens, von Blue Squad und von The Crew zusammen und gründeten BBC. Als Anfang 1973 drei Mann ausstiegen, verzichteten Reinhard Fischer und Klaus Bangert darauf, sich Ersatz zu suchen, und machten zu zweit weiter. Folgerichtig nannten sie sich nun Twogether und spielten nur mit Schlagzeug und Tasten, ähnlich wie etwa Hardin & York, Sixty Nine oder Hansson & Karlsson. Zum Ende des Jahres brachten sie ihre beiden einzigen Platten heraus, die LP "A couple of times" und eine Single, beide im Eigenverlag. Wegen der geringen Auflagen sind die heute kaum noch zu finden und wenn doch, dann fast unbezahlbar. Auf der CD ist jetzt alles enthalten. Ein stimmungsvolles und ansprechendes Werk. Klaus Bangert starb schon 1983 an einem Herzleiden.

Twogether from Dusseldorf had quite an eventful and vivid past before they released their two only records. At the beginning of the seventies, the best musicians of The Beathovens, Blue Squad and The Crew decided to found BBC for being able to play blues-rock. When in 1973 three of them quit the band, Reinhard Fischer and Klaus Bangert refused to look for substitutes and instead went on in two. Consequently, they named themselves Twogether and played only with drums and keyboards. At the end of the year they brought on the market the LP "A couple of times" and a single. Both records were released on their own. Because of the very small number of copies, the records are hardly available at all - and when found they are hardly affordable. On this CD you can find them both, an appealing and atmospheric work. Klaus Bangert died from a heart disease already in 1983.
