Exponent wurden in den frühen siebziger Jahren in Wuppertal im Bergischen Land gegründet, hervorgegangen aus den Vorläufergruppen Upside Down und Cannabis India. Stilrichtung: orgellastiger progressiver Rock mit Mellotron. Treibende Kraft war Frank Martin, der auch alle Stücke schrieb. Die erste LP/CD von Exponent, mit damals unveröffentlicht gebliebenen Aufnahmen von 1974, kam schon sehr gut an. Die zweite CD enthält bislang unbekannte Aufnahmen von 1976 aus dem Music-Flat-Studio. Im Booklet von 32 Seiten erfährt man so ziemlich alles, was man über die Gruppe sowie die Vorläufer und Nachfolger wissen will.

Exponent's first LP/CD, featuring previously unreleased recordings from 1974, was very well received. The second CD contains previously unknown recordings from 1976 from the Music Flat Studio.
