Seiler (org, sy, p, Mellotron, celesta), Ronald J. D. Brand (b, voc, g, perc), Charlie Jöst (dr, perc) Tritonus aus Mannheim werden manchmal mit Emerson, Lake & Palmer verglichen, waren aber durchaus eigenständig. An den Tasten – auch dem Mellotron – saß Peter Seiler, der später einen guten Lauf mit vielen eigenen Veröffentlichungen und Auftritten hatte und noch heute im Einsatz ist, vorwiegend im Bereich Elektronik. Hier die digitale Ausgabe ihrer ersten LP (von 1975), gezogen vom Mutterband, ebenso wie die beiden Stücke ihrer ersten Single (von 1973) als Zusatz. Es gibt zwar schon eine Japan-CD von „Tritonus“, doch die ist sündhaft teuer und nur schwer zu bekommen. Tritonus from Mannheim are sometimes compared to Emerson, Lake & Palmer, but they were definitely independent. At the keys - including the Mellotron - was Peter Seiler, who later had a good run with many of his own releases and gigs and is still active today, mainly in the field of electronics. Here is the digital edition of their first LP (from 1975), taken from the mother tape, as well as the two tracks from their first single (from 1973) as bonus. Although there is already a Japan CD of "Tritonus" available, it is sinfully expensive and difficult to obtain. |
